MADREFOCA CINE is a creative studio founded in 2023 by Alejandro Saevich and Jorge Aguilera, dedicated to developing and producing cinematic works. The studio is directed by Paulina Valencia, a Mexican film promotor and producer. MADREFOCA CINE was born out of a desire to approach filmmaking as a process of catharsis and artistic exploration, enriched through constant creative collaboration with authors.
We are interested in projects that offer original narratives and present intriguing aesthetic proposals, resulting in honest discourses that contribute to the cinematic identity of the country. Additionally, we seek to engage in international projects, stories that allow for creative and financial collaboration with other countries. Our priority is to nurture and promote the talents of our directors, as well as the stories we want to be involved in. We are primarily focused on developing strategic partnerships that foster the creation of audiences at a national level, sparking necessary dialogues through the films we produce.
We delve into various financing schemes and have a proven track record in securing the EFICINE tax incentive. Our experience includes receiving development funds from esteemed institutions like the Hubert Bals Fund and Ibermedia. We are keen on fostering national co-productions to enhance projects both creatively and financially. Additionally, we view international co-productions as an invaluable opportunity for collaboration, enabling us to expand the reach of our projects to broader audiences.
